Better than amazon prime and best buy gcu preorders atm ($23.99). A good deal for those that have one or the other. A great deal for everyone else. I'm biting if only for the coop mode. Thanks!

Edit: my comment is based on if you want it specifically for switch. Other systems might be comparable (ps4-amazon) or cheaper (pc-steam) in price.

Most people should understand that we are to assume the December 31st release date is just a placeholder.

You should go on Amazon right now and look at upcoming games many of them for all the different systems read December 31st 2017 or December 31st 2018.

I don't really understand why this would be for preorder with that release date it makes no sense that release date.

I'm guessing this is going to end up being the new MSRP.

This is correct. December 31st is almost always used as a placeholder when the real release date is unknown. Video game releases usually occur on Fridays (I think) so I doubt the correct release date for this title is Sunday, Dec 31st.

Not a big deal, but you may want to change the release date statement in the title unless that is confirmed to be correct somewhere.

Almost correct, my friend. Video game releases are on Tuesdays just like movies are. CDs and first-party Nintendo titles are released on Fridays. Very seldomly are 3rd party games released on a Friday, such as Madden 18 last Friday.

Honestly it all boils down to companies trying to avoid negative competition/conflict when they 'street date' a game (in other words, hoping to make the most money) In most cases though, the above pattern is the norm.

Thank you for the correction, I knew I was wrong somewhere in there haha

The newest retail switch game Mario + Rabbids released this Tuesday.

Amazon always does that for games that they don't have an exact release date.

Indeed, I got it for free for PC (Steam) for owning the previous version (which I didn't pay near regular price for). Comparatively speaking, at $20 this gives the impression that it has a hefty Nintendo tax on it.
