Philips SHP9500 Headphones currently at jet.com for $57.72. This becomes $49.06 after you apply the jet.com 15% discount for new customers.

These are going for $73 on Amazon and are very well received by the audio community.

Thanks, op, picked up a pair. Hopefully these are a solid choice vs ad500x/700x as I much prefer the detachable cable vs the fixed cable of the latter.

Heads up, meant to come back and edit this but forgot. New Egg has them 49.99 if you'd rather not deal with Jet.

Fwiw, in my experience, Jet has good Customer service. They let me easily return a DOA PS4 gold wireless headset. Even worked some magic and got an extra discount to stack on the rebuy.

They look like they are different models. Newegg has the s model, these look like the regular model, according to the name. Supposedly the regular model is a little better quality. So if jet sends me the s model then I get to complain because it isn't what the product is called.

How can you tell the "S" model from the original model?

Newegg says 9500s, Jet says 9500.

Body, sound quality should be exactly the same.

I don't think Philips makes 9500 anymore, they only make 9500s

Based on the box my friend received these are the 9500s. The originals came in an all black box with "SHP9500" in red lettering, these come in a silverish box with a white/green philips logo.

The $70+ ones on Amazon may be old stock originals, but I don't think it's worth chancing, even if you do get an original I doubt the differences are worth $20+ for an over 45% markup. But I guess someone that owns both can give a better opinion on that.

If you're in NY you're better off ordering from newegg to avoid tax, assuming they don't raise the price again.
