My first deal posting, be gentle.

In today's email from Fry's ("Pre-Labor Day Sale") they show the ASUS VZ27AQ as being $298 with the promo code. However, after adding it to my cart, and applying the code, it's discounted to $247.01, shipping is free. This monitor has a solid 5 rating on amazon (8 reviews) and has been steady at $349 according to camel.

Still overpriced. For $250 range, I'm looking for a 27" 4k. 27" 1440p is only worth $200 range.

Riiiight, because size and resolution are the only thing that dictates price when it comes to monitors/tv's. LMAO

I recommend that you wait for a 32" WXHD under $300. 27" is pretty small if you want to look at multiple screens at the same time. I'm very happy with my HP Pavillion Best Buy deal from a few months ago.

I've been watching for a 27" 2K IPS monitor for several months, and I have yet to see one under $200.

Yeah, 4K on 27" is too small. I havent see a 32" 4K anywhere near $300, at least not one that is IPS. I have 2 X 27" monitors (one 2K, one HD) + one 24" monitor that I stare at all day every day, and I wouldn't say it's too small. And with the current set-up it just barely fits on the desk. There's no way I could fit three 32" monitors. LOL!

although it says shipping is available, it changes to store pick up before you submit the order. typical fry's tactic...

i have a 27" 1440p monitor and a 23" 1080p monitor. I want to upgrade the 23" to 27". Do you notice a difference between the 1440p and 1080p monitor? i could save myself $100+ if i just go with a 27" 1080p monitor.

You can answer by yourself. Do you see the difference between your 2 monitors ?
In theory, 27" 1440p > 23" 1080p > 27" 1080p.

Almost worthy of a trigger pull, noticed its not mountable so a pass for me since I am looking to mount to save space in the future.
