Price is not low enough after rebate to be worth the hassle. Would rather pay $130 at Newegg or B&H no rebate.

So does Slickdeals profit when we forget to send in the rebate or get denied for whatever reason?

Slickdeals does not allow their rebate to be claimed if you use a cashback portal. A major conflict of interest that further prevents me from using their rebate system. I would only attempt this rebate offer if the after rebate price was $80 or less.

They profit no matter what since they earn affiliate commission for every valid rebate submission.

Good to know. They should add that to the deal posting to make sure people don't feel cheated afterwards when they don't receive their rebate. Will not be buying anything which involves slickdeals rebate if its going to be a hassle later to get rebates.

What's better this or the APC one from their other rebate deal?

If you have a desktop which uses PFC, this is your best bet. APC with just AVR will not work with Power Supply with PFC. Have first hand experience with it. If you need it for just simple Surge Protection and AVR APC is the best route to go.

Like everything else it depends on what you will use the product for. The main difference between this and the APC one is this is a 'sinewave'. It gets very technical but basically some computer power supplies require the sinewave tofunction correctly. If I were to try to use the APC for my desktop it wouldn't work, so I - like most others have to pay a little more for the sinewave model. If you are using it for nearly anything else the APC model is very similar for less and should work fine.
