Why not wait for the 9th? Maybe wait for the 10th because I heard that was going to be better than the 9th.
You can't. The "removable" SSD has no aftermarket replacement(s).

Also, the 128GB SSD performs noticeably slower than the 256GB and greater models.

Was about to post this deal. I'd be all over it if the hard drive was 256gb.

Add that this is a flash sale for 8/30 2017 only, so people won't think they have days for this deal.

I got this unit in the previous flash sale, but returned it for the 15 inch 2017 instead. But it worked great, and the 128gb has not as limiting as I thought it would be. But I needed the extra power the 15" provides. This price is a great one. Wonder if this will be the entry level Macbook going forward and no more Macbook Air?

I'm pretty sure you are unable to upgrade the hard drive on the newest Macbook Pros.

The base 13 inch ones I believe are the only ones you can swap the SSDs although it's still a proprietary drive

It has no aftermarket replacements...yet. OWC is working on it (I think)
