I see the 6 months and then $4.99 but I also see this

Individual plan
$7.99 $0.00 per month – The following promotion applies after your free trial: Amazon Music Credit.

Does the Amazon unlimited allow use of Amazon no rush shipping credits to "fund" Amazon Music unlimited subscriptions? I see a year price as well but it only takes off $20 using credits and I have way more than $20 banked so there looks like to be a max utilization of credits of $20

I don't see the 6 months offer. Does having a Student Prime membership automatically qualify you for the offer? (I no longer have an .edu email)

I don't believe you can use an Amazon gift card either. Only a credit card. At least for the monthly plan/bill. Not sure if you can pay the $6 initial cost with an Amazon GC or credit since I cannot sign up but I have some credit on my account and my credit is still charged with a monthly fee.

I do enjoy the amazon music, just not sure I care enough to pay $8/mo when my trial runs out.

Unfortunately, this is not for staff. They try to verify that you are an enrolled student.

If I didn't have an echo device, I could live without it. But after using an echo with their music service, it's going to be hard to go without it. Having any song or album you call out played a second later really spoils you. I can see why Apple, Google, and Amazon aren't integrating their music services with other devices.
