That's the Motorhead version which only comes with crevice and combo tools. This Animal+ version at Costco has 3 additional tools.

Costco stopped carrying the V8 and it seems like it isn't as heavily promoted now, even at other retailers..and then the V7 came out. What happened?

What's newer the 7 or the 8? What is the difference between the 7 Absolute and the 7 animal?
Thanks!

Technically the v8 is older, it came out after the v6, the v7 is newest.
The v8 has the longest battery life in "normal" mode of about 40 min.

The v6 lasts for about 20 min.

The v7 lasts 30 min.

The v8 sucks the hardest on max power mode and lasts for 7 min.. vs 6 min for the other two... and since it's a 6.0 L hemi it takes the longest to charge...

Read a few reviews on the v7 and wanted to know if all the models required you to hold the power button down while vacuuming? Or is there a model where it can stay on without holding the button down?

All versions require you to hold the power button down... its one of the ways dyson tries to save battery life...

Dyson matched this price and threw in a bunch of other tools. Free shipping! Just called up their customer service.
