gout people - this is NOT the same as tart cherry CONCENTRATE
so if you take a tablespoon a day, there is no way to know what
equivalent this juice may be, thus it may NOT be a good deal.

They're using the same trick pet food makers use. Ingredient splitting.

#1 is cherry juice. Fifty cherries per bottle. Then water, then apple juice concentrate. When you combine the water and the apple juice concentrate, apple juice would be the main ingredient.

Tart cherries are smaller than sweet cherries and are rarely seen in stores because they don't ship well. A pound of tart cherries is about 80 cherries and makes 1.5 cups of juice. So the 50 cherries in each bottle would make just under 1 cup of tart cherry juice. So about 1/4 of it is cherry juice, and 3/4 is apple juice.

Pet food makers will say "chicken is the #1 ingredient", but thats weight when raw and hydrated. They have to dehydrate the chicken to make kibble. Once the water is taken away, chicken would be the 4th or 5th ingredient by weight. Then they have rice, rice bran, rice middlings and brewers rice listed separately. If they combined the rice ingredients, rice would be the #1 ingredient.

FYI, this is available for cheaper from Costco if you have access.

Good to mix a bit with a lot of sparkling water.

Mostly water and apple juice. Pass. I'm fed up with companies who say its cranberry or cherry and it ends up mostly apple or grape juice, which is just liquid sugar.

FYI bought this at Costco last week and slammed a bottle after working in the sun all day. Apparently cherry juice can have a prune effect. Near miss, I'll leave it at that. Also mostly cherry juice with some apple according to the ingredient list.
