Doing a simple upgrade from my old Phenom II to a new Ryzen 1600 6-core. Lowest price I found was on Jet.com, $30 cheaper than Amazon out the door. Final price after shipping was $126.

The only thing you need to do is sign up as a new member and you get $20 off your order.

You should be able to do this with any PC parts deal. Worked for me as of last night.
Hope it does for all you as well. Cheers!

I'm far from any MicroCenter. This was the final price after California Tax and Shipping

Pardon my ignorance, as I'm Canadian. MicroCenter is a pick-up only store or something?

Microcenter is pick up for loss leader items. CPUs they tend to sell at less than cost as loss leaders all the time to drive in foot traffic. They've been doing it for decades. Everything else they ship though.

ebay is way more risky, in case something goes wrong.

And as for micro center, most of their good deals are on items that can't be shipped. I did find some deals on a FEW motherboards they will ship and pc cases and that's about it.

In general, maybe, but It's refurb4less. who has sold thousands of Ryzen. They've been around forever, and are quire reputable.

I'm not even so much talking about them selling anything shady, just that if it does stop working, I doubt they'd do anything and then the manufacturer can decline fixing it due to it being bought on there, as well (even if a store sells it through there).

I have never bought a pc and trying to save as much as possible, so it sucks that micro center doesn't ship most components. I am hoping around black friday newegg and amazon will have some good deals on either intel or amd ryzen, RAM, a mobo, etc...
