Amazon has the Dremel Idea Builder 3D Printer for $527.51. It comes bundled with 1.75mm 0.5kg spool of filament. Choose from 4 colors of filament. Seems like a really good deal on a Dremel 3D printer.

New to 3D printers. Is this a good entry level one? Not looking to mod it, would like something fairly reliable out of the box.

That's such a tough question! I'm newer to the 3D Printing world, and have been using a $300 WanHao Duplicator i3 (the OEM for the Monoprice Maker Select). Incredible support community and a tinkerers dream.

From my understanding, the dremel is a decent printer, but closed source, and a rebranded FlashForge ( https://www.3dhubs.com/talk/threa...ilder-3d40 ).

At MSRP, you could do a lot better. At this price, you can do a lot worse (chinesium kits).

If you're willing to spend a little more, skip this, get a "Original Prusa i3 MK2S". Open Source. Incredible community. Thorough instructions.

If you want to get into the realm of "I send it a file, and it does everything for me. Every time. I never have to play with anything. " kind of experience, you need to start thinking about being in the 3k-5k range.

Additive manufacturing is still newish, and advancing at a blistering rate.
