There is a lot, but the biggest factor you will notice is contrast ratio. Blacks will be less black. If you have never had a projector before, you will be blown away by its size unless you are a picky cinephile, so start with the cheap one.

This is assuming you have a separate sound system, as the speakers are not nearly as good either.
