I bought one similar to this at Gearbest... it didn't have a roller or brush at the bottom. It only sucks via a small hole. It didn't work well. It can only suck cat fluff and nothing else. Forget about carpeting.

I bought a Xiaomi off Gearbest. Are you referring to that one?

Don't feel too bad, I have a 700 series Roomba and it's not great on carpet either

5xx, 6xx, 7xx series Roombas should not be owned. The line gets good at 8xx series when they got rid of the brushes and maintenance went WAY down. 860s were recently $299, so there's little excuse not to own one.

Yes, the 800 series is great because of the rolling rubber underneath. Doesn't get clog with my wife's long hair and easily picks up cat hair. Too bad the unit wasn't ours.

Has anyone used this unit personally I don't really believe the comments on Amazon from actual users IMHO.

Fakespot gives the amazon reviews an "F" meaning most are probably fake or paid.

I would never import one of these Chinese market battery operated products since they are not engineered to US standards and can literally burn your place down while you're away (or worse, while you're THERE). Xiaomi mi, same thing. And Xiaomi has been shown to cover up incidents of battery explosions and fire.

Yeah, my brush assembly broke after 12 months and a few days, luckily, I was able to get iRobot to give me a new set, but took two weeks of emails and at first they said no, so I bought another set, later that night they said they would do it....so I have an extra set...the Sheltie hair is what kills it, that stuff is crazy

I have a small apt in NYC with hardwood floors & would appreciate any advice on the best & most affordable option to keep the floors clean? Also, do you think one of the models with a mop function would be better than a high suction one? I appreciate any advice & thank you in advance.

Oh Yeah, & my GF was looking at the ILIFE V3s as she saw it on sale for $150 & any feedback appreciated! thx agan
