I bought a few of these several months ago. They work well, stack really well. Just don't sit on try to climb on them. The Lids will split.

These were sub $5 a few months ago if I remember right..I bought about 20 at that time.

For $9 you can get a 50 gallon tote, I would say this isn't a good deal.

Costco, Home Depot and Lowes all have different versions of these. The dimensions of the boxes and especially the lids are different. They will not stack if mixed. Early this January I noticed Costco came out with a new manufacturer. I did not bring one home to compare for any dimension changes. I see these go on sale at Lowes all the time.

These can be used with a coupon though which potentially knocks off 25% and then can be bought with giftcards for 90% of face value. That would make it lower than $6, but a lot of work.

That is not untrue. You definitely can do that

This was $5.99 at Costco last month.

edit: just checked they are from a different manufacturer but it's still of high quality for $6

Not true. You can sit or climb on them. Check this out: https://youtu.be/OQ05eYhFfPM

I must have a defective one, put my knee on one while closing and it cracked with very little pressure.

I'm sure if I distributed weight better it would be fine. Ever see someone lay on a bed of nails, or supported by eggs.

I'm just saying other totes lids don't crack as easily but the other totes tend to bend and flex more and don't stack as neatly.

If you' re picking these up at the store, check for a really bad smell.

I bought half a dozen of these from Lowes and spent weeks trying to get the smell out of them to no avail.

Tried everything and to this day, a year later, they still stink.

P.S., I got a refund from the manufacturer. I still have them and I use them, but nothing goes in there that isn't wrapped or bagged.

The quality depends on what store you purchase it from, I forgot which store people recommended on SD in the past when this deal pops up.
