They need to double their points all the time just to get me interested. I was a Diamond for five straight years back in the last decade. The points were OK in the past but the last few years has been a disgrace.. Now they are very weak. I really have been disappointed with hhonors.

Do points earned from an HHonors credit card count towards getting Gold or Diamond Status? Googled but could not find the answer to this.

Points earned on Your HHonors card does not count towards gold or diamond. Hilton on counts your "base" points, or amount of nights stayed with them, towards these tiers.

However, some of their credit cards comes preloaded with gold. Which card do you have?

Smilie Thanks so much for the info, repped. I have the Amex. I don't think it came with Gold.

Only stayed nights count towards Gold or Diamond, unless you were lucky a few yrs ago and took advantage of an Asian exploit to obtain Gold.

None the less the CC only counts as regular points.

This year is a great one for business travelers who use Hilton. They've had a 2x or better promo through out the year and a bonus for booking using their mobile app. Very easily one could round up about 500k points. Now the trick is to figure out the best redemption options Wink

Reward stays also count towards status level.

This is awesome, I have a month booked in a Hilton Homewood Suites starting next weekend. I read over their entire rewards program and I really wasn't too impressed at all and was considering canceling and booking through hotels.com for the free night rewards there (If you don't book through hilton.com or the app you don't get hilton reward points fyi). This promotion makes it for sure worth it now though!
