Unable to add new Deal Alerts?

964 90 September 1, 2017 at 09:06 PM
For some reason, I'm unable to add any new Deal Alerts. When I fill out the parameters and hit "Create Deal Alert", the page refreshes but nothing happens.

Could you try doing a hard refresh on the page (https://www.getfilecloud.com/blog...-browsers/) and then re-try creating a deal alert?

Also please provide info from which experience you were trying to create the deal alert, aka Desktop redesign or classic or mobile web, etc..

This is on a Mac running MacOS Sierra with Chrome Version 60.0.3112.113 (Official Build)(64-bit) on the desktop site. Not sure if it's the classic or redesigned site. How can I tell?

I just tried the hard refresh and it's still not working.

Actually, I just switched to Classic view and was able to add a deal alert. So looks like it's a problem with the redesign only.

EDIT: Seems other users are having the same issue and have posted on the site questions, issues or suggestions forum that I missed. Switching the mode to "classic view" fixes the issue. This thread can be deleted if seen by a mod.

For some reason I am unable to add new deal alerts. I go to the page, type something in the box and click "create deal alert". It pops up with the box that says "adding deal alert" and then reloads the page, but no new alert. I've tried in Firefox and Microsoft Edge, tried logging out and logging back in, and also adding one of the "top user created deal alerts". None of it works. Any suggestions?

I had the same exact issue. Running on Windows 10 PC, both firefox and microsoft edge browsers. Switching to classic view also solved the problem for me.

Same issue. Desktop running Windows 7, using Chrome browser. Changing to classic view solved it.

How do I easily change to Classic view? The only instructions I could find involved bookmarklets and java script.
Any plans on fixing this?
Being able to add an alert is the main stay for Slickdeals.

If you scroll to the footer you will see a link towards the right side for Classic View

Thanx so much for your help.
Switching to Classic view doesn't seem to correct the problem for me.

Windows 7 with Firefox latest update.
Linux Mint with Firefox latest update.

Tried FireFox and IE, tried different keywords, same result: a pop-up window shows up stating "your deal alert was created", but I do not see it, even if I close the web page and reopen. The latest deal alert that I was able to create was about a week ago.
