LG G5 (T-Mobile locked) 32GB New (other)

Product is overstock that we purchase in large bulk lots. They do not come in original box. Product may have slight scratches due to inbound transit but is all 100% fully functional. Cosmetics range from 9 of 10 with slight hairline scratches to a perfect 10 of 10. Comes with OEM charger. Does not include SIM card or manual, but a user guide can be obtained online

<<<<<Product is locked to T-Mobile. Unknown if there is a way to unlock the bootloader or to sim unlock it so that it can be used International. Unknown if it is possible to attain Root on this phone. >>>>>>>>>>>>>

EDIT: Confirmed that bootloader can be unlocked and device can be rooted as per XDA tutorial here:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/...d-t3350648

Still have not been able to verify if this will run on AT&T MVNO or International??

I reached out to the seller yesterday asking if the phone was still under manufacturer warranty but didn't get a response back which is important if it's really a 'new' item.

I don't think LG warranties phones bought on eBay. At least that's what I was told with my G3.

No, however, there may be some warranty left.

My point was that regardless of any warranty left, LG may not honor it because it's an eBay purchase. Unless you meant T-Mobile, where deductibles are $175.

I think you got your answer. Also, in my experience, "New other (see details)" should be considered the same as "Used".

Units that are truly new are not going to have the cosmetic issues listed, and blaming it on "bulk" packaging is bogus.

G4 was an exception, they'd repair any of them that had the boot loop fault within 18 months of manufacture. They didn't care where you bought it. In this case it would have to be an authorized reseller, and I'd be surprised to find that LuckyWire is one. Unless the listing says it's covered under manufacturer warranty, it almost certainly isn't.

You can safely make that line as 24 months instead of 18 months. I just got my G4 repaired for boot loop .. originally purchased in October 2015.

Hey Guys,

I found another seller on eBay that is selling it for $199.99 but that one is bootloader unlocked so you can easily achieve ROOT and also it is sim unlocked to use any GSM carrier.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW...rmvSB=true

It looks like you are paying an extra $30 to have the vendor complete these tasks for you (and it is kind of a complicated procedure to bootloader unlock this particular model). Several steps and reboots required. Similar to diffusing a bomb, if you make a single mistake than its LIGHTS OUT (brick)

That's called "fraud".
You know what I call "Fraud"? Refusing to honor a warranty because you bought phone from Vendor B instead of Vendor A.
