The smartest house.com is having a Labor Day sale [thesmartesthouse.com] with 15% off of sale priced items with code LABOR15

Notable were:
$25.50 for ZOOZ Z-wave Plus toggle [thesmartesthouse.com] and paddle switches ZEN23/21 VER 2.0 that can run 3 or 4 way switches without replacing all the add-ons switches.

$38.25 RTS CT101 [thesmartesthouse.com] thermostat

$50 Zooz Z-Wave Plus Power Strip w/5 controlled outlets [thesmartesthouse.com] NLA

$21.25 power monitoring outlets with USB ports [thesmartesthouse.com]

I have the ct101 thermostat and two of the outlets. All work fine with vera ui5 and 7. The other items I have on order.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I have had this thermostat for over a year. I've replaced the batteries once, which is a plus. Also, this dose not need the "C" line to function, because it uses batteries. I'm using it with the Lowe's Iris system. I will definitely recommend this thermostat.

been running battery powered thermostats for decades... never once had a problem. this is a silly comment. also, at an extra 20$+ per thermostat, this isn't a great option... you're suggesting people almost double the cost of the thermostat in this thread, when they could simply use rechargeable batteries that need to be swapped once a year or so.

The owner of the business calls it whatever he/she/they want. Also, your childish whining is kind of strange.

Can anybody comment on the Zooz toggle switch? The amazon reviews are sparse but average. People complain about a delay. TIA

I've been using the CT100 for a number of years and it has worked flawlessly. I have vera plus and use imperihome on cell phones. I realize it is not the same model.

i have it, but i cant tell you about how well it works with zwave.

i bought it for what i assumed was extra signal it would provide.
i have a pool light switch that is outside and in a metal box on a post.

my previous zwave switch was flakey - enuf to be seen initially, but not enuf to ever give me a connection...most likely b/c of the metal box

i put this one in instead to see if maybe just maybe it would be just enuf of a stronger signal with zwave plus to get me the bridge i needed.

unfortunately, it's no different for me. however, i am using vera lite v5. and havent looked into whether it would even recognize zwave plus to begin with

as for the switch itself - know this, it operates upside down, meaning the buttons do the opposite of what you think

also it is oddly shaped. even though it's a designed switch, it doesnt fit into standard designer brackets

so i cant recommend for those reasons above

This. I forgot about not needing the C wire. I assumed I had the c wire, but I did not.

I have a few of the zooz paddle switched with smartthings. They've been gone imho. I also have GE switches and have not noticed a difference between the two

I have personally replaced 7 or so normal switches in my house with these Zooz toggle switches and have no regrets. I've mostly bought refurb/return ones from The Smartest House for ~$24 each and think thats a bargain for these switches. They do make a little clicking noise when the switch is toggled but it doesn't bother me one bit. I've not bought any other brand zwave switches so I have nothing to compare them to but for the price they are a great buy for me. I've bought a couple other Zooz devices (mini plugs, etc) and like them as well.

If you not have a C wire, just get a Venstar ACC0410 Add-A-Wire Accessory from amazon or elsewhere. Easy to install and works great. Stay away from battery powered thermostats.

Zwave needs a hub like SmartThings etc.

Thanks. I got four toggle switches. Was on the fence.
