Why not possible? All the XPS 13 comes with soldered ram module, starting from 4th Gen Core series. And they use LPDDR3 because that has a lower power consumption than normal DDR3 and DDR4 which increases the battery life.
Dell has only released Inspiron 7000 series laptops, including standard 15", 15" 2-in-1 and 13" 2-in-1 with 8th Gen Quad Core processors. XPS has not been released yet for that.
I think you are referring the Inspiron 13 2-in-1 deal I have posted. Spec wise that comes close to XPS, in fact better. But as you know, XPS series not about configuration...it has something else: Build quality, better Display, ergonomics, high battery life, better keyboard and Thunderbolt 3 port.

The excludes list on the rebate contains the XPS 13.

Opps, that's only the 2-in-1 that is excluded.

"8GB LPDDR3 1866 MHz ram".... WTF? not possible. i thought xps models were not eligable for the rebate. and you can get a 4c8t coffee lake processor now with very similar specs for near the same price anyways.

Seems like it says only the XPS 2 in 1 so I believe it should work on this unless I'm missing something..

It says xps 13 2 in 1. This is not a 2 in 1.

You are correct and not missing anything. Only XPS 2-in-1 is excluded, not the normal XPS laptops. Both XPS 13 and XPS 15 are eligible for the SD rebate.

The form factor is almost an ultrabook... Link what you're referring to for the same price.

I have a hard time spending > $300 on a laptop after discovering the dell financial services 50% off of latitude refurb systems ($500+) deal that comes around frequently though.
My 3 person family all got new systems (one i7 and two i5) for under $900 total.
This computer is a bit nicer than any of those 3, but not worth 3x the price IMO.
Edit: https://slickdeals.net/e/9127155-dell-refurbished-dell-financial-service-48-off-sitewide-and-free-ground-shipping
seems there's currently a 48% off everything, so xps also included.

For anyone who hasn't seen the many threads every time this model goes on sale....this is a truly fantastic laptop.

It will sadly make you never want another laptop again, as every other 13" will feel huge compared to this tiny form factor.

I've had the 9350 and 9360....best laptops I've ever owned. Came from Macbook Air for last several years (running Windows).....first laptop in a long time that I felt was the best ultraportable for Windows (ironic with the Air).
