So tempting at $39.99, but not on Gigabyte compatibility list for H270 series motherboards. Pass.

I mean correct me if i'm wrong if your motherboard supports 2400mhz ram then any stick that is rated at 2400 will work in any motherboard given you have a kaby lake cpu. Also DDR4 will work with any LGA1151 motherboard.

That was too good to be true but it was. Without limits on this product purchasing, some have snatched dozens or hundreds of them, that's what I would have done.

Yes that's the case. But manufactures like to use the

"Hello,

Sorry, that ram is not on the list of compatible ram so you cannot send it in for repairs even though your warranty is still in the time frame.

Thank you,
Asus"

In theory you are right, but I'm willing to wait to get a model that was actually tested on my MB. A fair percentage of buyer's on Newegg had bad sticks and the RMA was a hassle as this model number wasn't coming up as an option in the RMA process.

Since I'm slow walking a new build there is a good chance I won't be able to test this RAM within 30 days so a painless Newegg return will be dead. (As is the deal now)

They did enforce the limit of 2, not sure what you are talking about.

I know because they caught my attempts to buy 2 more. Twice.

OK, I see, because now when it's OOS it does not show that was a limit of any sort. Then I guess they did not have many in stock.
