Before you crap on this deal, this has better spec than the $329 deal from Staples last month. The PSU is only 240w so don't even think about adding anything beefier than a 1050ti.

Is changing the PSU possible? Proprietary?

Should I sit and wait until black friday or take this deal for a base of a gaming pc? I know I would need a GPU, ram upgrade and an ssd, but I can find separate deals on those.

I'm patient, just not sure if there will be deals come black friday.

Not what you want for gaming or photo editing. Video card can be upgraded, but might require a special PSU and video card.

A well-spec'ed i5-based desktop under $400 is always a good buy.

Should I get this or wait for another deal? I don't need a computer immediately but this looks like a good deal

The OP says it only has a 240w PSU, so nothing beefier than a 1050ti. The 1050ti says it requires a 300w PSU. So...
a) Will a 1050ti work with a 240w PSU?
b) Does a 1050ti give reasonable performance?

I chatted with Dell. They recommend a NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 730 with 2GB GDDR3 graphics memory. Presumably that is inferior to a 1050ti. Is it a worthwhile upgrade?

I don't really need a computer this good, but it seems like a good price. Just looking into how upgradable it is. Thanks.

The GTX 730 is worse than the onboard Intel 630 graphics

The 1050 ti is not too much power draw (though 300+ is recommended). The 1050 ti pulls a MAX of 75 watts as long as you don't get one that requires a 6 pin power connector (which most don't). The i5 7400 draws up to 65 watts. Just google "i5 7400 GTX 1050 ti gameplay' and check out videos to get an idea of if it will handle the games you want at settings you can live with.
