$40 dollar gift card when you test drive a Hyundai vehicle.

+118 Deal Score
49,058 Views
At participating Hyundai dealerships, complete a test drive of a new Hyundai vehicle and receive your choice of a $40 Visa Gift Card, $40 Target Gift Card, or $40 Amazon Gift Card for free via the directions below. That beats last week's mention of a free $30 gift card and is the largest gift card promo we've seen from Hyundai since November, when a $50 gift card was offered. To find this deal:
Go to https://www.hyundaiusa.com/ and select "Find a Dealer" on the top right
enter a ZIP code and select your nearest dealer
select "New Vehicles" and then "New Inventory"
a pop-up should appear with the gift card offer; fill out the form and follow the dealership's instructions

Please don't do this unless you have actual interest in purchasing a vehicle. Sales people are paid for the vehicles they sell. If you choose to take up their time without any intention to make a purchase you are potentially taking money out of their pocket in a job that is already way tough.

I would never set foot into Hyundai Enfield, CT location - the staff was rude, manager was super jerk.

Basically the manager said, "You will qualify for this offer, if you BUY the car and sign the papers". I explained him the concept of "Test Drive" - and then he made faces.

I walked out without test drive - and would never deal with such a company ever again.

What reputation are you referring to? From the Excel and the 1980's? Way to live in the past.

I'll save you some time. Rankings for initial quality:
1. Kia
2. Porsche
3. Hyundai
4. Toyota
5. BMW
You have to be very careful with any of these rankings/surveys. For the most part they are done by for-profit companies that make their money off selling the survey findings to actual car manufacturers.. in other words their business model does little to change the actual confidence of the consumer when car shopping.

While I think KIA is great bang for the buck, you'd have to be a fool to believe that KIA or Hyundai is somehow magically more reliable than Honda or Toyota. The proof is in the pudding.. and thats the warranty the manufacturer puts on the vehicle. There is a reason why Hyundai/KIA and now VW are doing 10yr/100K warranties while companies like Honda and Toyota have stuck with 3yr/36K warranties for several decades now and have never needed to offer anything longer. Anybody who has ever bought a used car knows that a Hyundai/KIA/VW with 100K miles is going to have MANY more problems than a Honda or Toyota with 100K miles.. which is the entire reason why Hyundai/KIA/VW needs a 10yr/100K warranty in the first place.

As far for the actual study. From your own link.. the only information this ranking provides is initial quality. Which means after 3-6 months of ownership.. JD sends out surveys to new car buyers. I would hope that after driving a brand new car for just 3-6months.. you'd have no issues with it. And if you did have an issue.. it was either minor or fixed pretty easily. It would be terrible to buy a new car and need a new engine or transmission in the first year of ownership.

Look i'm not ragging on KIA. They are Korean manufacturer that is trying to provide the same features, styling, technology and reliability as the Japanese manufacturers at a lower price point. Competition is great for all buyers.. as KIA only puts more pressure on every other manufacturer to deliver more for a lower price. But lets not pretend KIA is number on in anything that actually counts. Maybe number one in bang for the buck Smilie Drive one for 5 years and then tell me what you think about that KIA.

You can honestly go and ask them to redeem your gift card very respectfully. This is what I did previous time with Subaru and I told the guy "I know your time is valuable and I want to redeem my offer" the guy was very helpful and friendly and redeem the code without test driving their car.
BTW, this ads is the company policy to bold the logo and cars no matter you want to buy at the moment or not. I think even without purchasing the car, no one is wasting the dealers money...

The embarrassment you'll feel for being seen driving a Hyundai is priceless
What are you talking about?Confused

Hyundai is rated higher than Toyota & Honda by JD Power

We bought Tucson Eco Turbo Edition for my daughter in July -$21,000 OTD . Went to 2 different dealerships in 1 week period. Both issued $40 Amazon Gift card without any credit pull. We are a Honda/Toyota family. Researched for about 4 months and test drove Honda CRV, Civic, Corolla, RAV and Elantra. Were very impressed with Tucson. After all the reliability and resale value research, Tucson was it.

This has been an on and off thing for a while. I test drove (and bought) an Elantra on 7/31 and still haven't received my gift card. Can anyone else speak of their experience with this?
I also didn't got waiting from July 2017

I did this near the end of last year I wanna say... Told them from the beginning I was just there for the offer, and they still wanted to give me a test drive - which was fine... but it was awkward, and probably took over half an hour of my time - not including driving to and from there before/after. For the $50 or whatever it was back then, it was worth it, but I'm not sure I'd go back again

you should have beat the shit out of the car and tested it 2 its maximum capabilities scaring the shit out of the salesman . . .

do some 🍩's , test out the ABS , powerslide , drift , 0-60 times , etc etc etc . . . I'm sure they would have ended that test drive b4 it really began . . .
