It will crush ice very easily so I imagine it wouldn't have a problem with nuts.

Good price. Costco has same set for $179.99 and even when it goes on sale I don't think I've seen it this low.

Very good price. We paid over 150 without the processor attachment.

Yup I got this at Costco about three months ago at that price. The blender pulverizes everything you throw in it. I make fruit/vegetable smoothies with it, great blender and the food processor does what it's supposed to do just fine. The little cups you can blend in are real handy too.

This is great at this price.

Bought 1 at Costco.com for $179+tax = $195 yesterday.
BestBuy deal required me to pickup only at local store, found one and purchased. On hold w/Costco.com to cancel/return.

I guess if I'm ready to spend 200-ish$ for this blender, I could spend a little bit more and buy Vitamix or Blendtec instead.

Anyone know of a good place to get a deal on the cups? I bought the small version on sale and it only came with 2x 24 oz cups. I would like a 32 oz cup, but I only paid $32 for the blender and really don't want to spend half of what I spend on the blender for just another cup. They're just plastic cups that screw into the blender so they should be way cheaper than what I'm finding them for.

I would like to voice caution to buying this anywhere but from Ninja directly. You get a Lifetime warranty from Ninja where from others you will not. The China motor they put in these things is a junk and isn't properly sealed/engineered. Eventually (6-8 months in) you will probably notice a yellowish brown goop getting slung around the inside cup connection part of the unit along with small black chunks. I can only assume the black chucks are the crappy seal to hold the grease in.

We are on our second unit that also needs to be replaced I just haven't contacted them yet. Ours was primarily being used to blend Science Diet ID cat food with water using the single serve cup attachment's. After about 6-8 months of use the grease would start to sling inside the gear part on the bottom (blade assembly) where it has the gears that meet up to the actual blender. In turn it was leaving small black chunks on the top of the blender also.

This grease stinks to high hell and when it starts this problem the blender increasingly gets louder and louder.

I will say it's painless to warranty one of these. They want you to send nothing to them and ship you a brand new complete retail boxed unit. So in the end you keep collecting more and more cups. Although this isn't ideal because you would expect something like this to not start falling apart and to last but that isn't the case. Unless they have redesigned these in the last year they still have a poorly designed motor which will in the end do as I have stated above.

Ours by far has not seen any heavy use (once to mix cookie dough, 1 time daily for the soft cat food, and it's probably been used 15-20 times for shakes between the 2 units we have owned) Most people will use theirs far more then we have ours so just heed this as caution and ask yourself is the little saved worth the hassle after the standard warranty you get from retailers expires.

I'm new to blenders. I got interested recently after seeing a Vitamix deal a couple of weeks back. I want able to get that as it went out of stock.

What's the difference between Vitamix, blend Tex and this one? Can anyone chime in?

And I'm not for brand labels. So if Vitamix is just good because it's Vitamix and warranty, etc but functionality wise they are same then I'd rather go for a significantly lower cost option.
