EDIT: It's always been around 20-30mbps limit regardless of where I connect to. That's on the high end, it's typically closer to 10mbps now and days. If you torrent alot and noticed a speed drop, it turns out that they're not the ones throttling you, but it's a setting in utorrent that I just figured out.

Preferences --> Bandwidth --> "Disable the "Apply rate limit to uTP connections" option

Hope this helps people who noticed a less than 10kb/s download speed.

Been using their free 60gb/mo in the upstate NY area and I've been getting at least 50% of my original bandwidth when connected to the "Canada east" server. For a casual user in the right region, I'd call this a good deal if you need more bandwidth than that.

I've been a customer for a year, and highly recommend this value.

I generally use "Best US location" and no longer have to open an incognito window to get past privacy cookies, due to an upgrade in Windscribe's site certification policy. This is the highest tech upgrade available while still maintaining my privacy, yet still applying an excellent ease-of-use level. I switch to strict privacy overseas locations when dealing with sites that call for the strictest privacy in data transmission.

I opt for the additional browser plugins to protect browser data that's getting easier for external data miners to collect unique targeting data. Very effective.

Good product, I recommend it. But I hope they can afford to keep giving out low cost lifetime subscriptions.

Good deal. I tried 3 different VPNs (vpn unlimited, ivacy, windscribe) in China and Windscribe was by far the best on the desktop. On Android, only vpn unlimited was able to make the connection.

If the server speeds for the pro product were closer to my original speeds, I would buy the pro product. But i think they use the same servers for basic and pro.

FYI, I ordered the 'Lifetime' license from daily steals a couple of weeks ago and only got a 2 year license. I emailed them about getting the lifetime license they are selling and I paid for and this was their response:
"Hello
Thank you so much for reaching out
We are actually working with our vendor to have those available
We will let you know if that is something that is possible in the future
Please let me know

Best regards"

I have since opened a dispute with paypal and they have not responded.

Did you email Daily Steals or Windscribe?

Daily steals since they supplied the code that I entered on Windscribe. I think the Windscribe VPN service is great but I would think twice about getting a code from Dailysteals.

I bought this deal and got a voucher code that was invalid when entered at Windscribe (I'm a current customer). I immediately filled out a Support Ticket on Windscribe's site, messaged the OP here at SD, and entered a Mod Alert to update SD.

That was 3 hours ago, and I only got an automated response from Windscribe, and nothing from the OP or SD.

I noticed on Daily Steals Discussion tab on this deal page, that others were having the same problem. And now with your experience noted here, I'm concerned that Daily Steals may need to be Blacklisted.

Not exactly the best 'rep' vote for SD either, if they continue to do nothing about this.

The owner of the company posts on Reddit, though I can't remember his handle. It sounds like people have generally had success with their issues after reaching out to him directly. A quick search should turn up his username.

I have 200mbps internet and this VPN slows it down to 15mpbs.

I got a response from Windscribe suggesting this happens from time to time, and to email Daily Steals. I emailed Daily Steals via support@dailysteals.com and mentioned 2 year codes being issued instead, and Slickdeals reporting that, as well as their own Discussion tab from the deal page showing similar problems.

I'll report back here if I get a response from Daily Steals and any corrective, or otherwise, measures.
