"Live Canvas" Prints 80% off
www.printpictures.us [printpictures.us]

How does it work?
1. Upload a photo you want printed on canvas on PrintPictures.US
2. Use code: PRINTPICS80 for 80% discount in the shopping cart
3. Upload a video that's related to the photo when prompted
4. When you receive the canvas in the mail, scan the canvas with Print Picture's App and the AR video will appear on the screen

I gotta admit, this is pretty cool. Tried it out and thought I would share.

Voucher Code: PRINTPICS80
8x8: $11.40
10x8: $13.90
12x8: $16.40
12x12: $21.40
16x12: $25.40
20x16: $29.40

*Includes shipping
*includes augmented reality ($10)

just want to better understand this technology:

isn't it nothing but using the picture as sort of a "Bar code" to then load a video? doesn't it of course also require someone to have the special app as well?

seems like it's a "show once" and then never use again type of thing.

I tried it out and it's actually pretty cool. I'm planning on getting another canvas from them. I like to think of it as the future of story telling. And you're right, the photo is like a QR code that activates the video on your device or phone.

seems silly. why not just give someone a link to a video on youtube at that point.

I guess the way I see it is printed photos are getting more and more interactive. I'm going to have photos and canvas prints on my wall anyways, why not have them tell more of a story!

Thank you, paid poster. Photos are just as interactive as they ever have been.

Anyone can make the same thing using any print to canvas service with a code that links to youtube. No app to download. No company/app that will likely be defunct in less than 2 years, and "unusable" gimmicky artwork.

Once printpictures go out of business you won't be able to AR it anymore :/

Lol, poster must be working for the company or something. I can't see why anyone would pay extra just to get a link to your own video and in the process force you to install an additional app that's probably super buggy.

PS: This is NOT Augmented Reality.

Thanks OP for the effort. As for the product, find myself underwhelmed.
