The Best Buy deal of the day has the 2017 MacBooks on sale. They're $125 off sale price. Those with edu coupons can get another $125. These are the non touchbar models.

Good deal. I just picked up a 13" 128 GB MBP non-touchbar the other day direct from the Apple store because they were doing the free headphones. Sold the headphones for $200 on CL, though. It's a shame California tax sucks.

Wonder if Citi price match would work with this situation...

I wonder if Best Buy will honor the headphone deal?

The real deal here is the 128gb version - $1174 before coupon, which makes it $1050 (matching previous FP deal).

Just picked up an open box silver, no coupon needed @ $998.

Sure, if having a $1k laptop with 128GB of storage is the "real deal"

This is largely the "same" deal. Someone just pays an extra $200 for the extra storage. It scales accordingly.

Can you find a better price for a 128gb Macbook Pro or are you just trolling? I personally find that PCs provide better value, but I need to buy one of these for my wife.

It is if it's an Apple MacBook Pro.

My 2015 model is worth about $450 in trade in.
My 2016 HP windows gaming laptop with i7 6th gen (that I paid $850) is worth $40 in trade.

Sure, if bestbuy trade in values are any indication of actual value (they aren't)

I'm simply pointing out that anyone who buys a $1k computer with 128GB storage is getting reamed by Apple

Agreed - just pointing out that OP may want to adjust the listing to the cheapest model, probably would get more success. I personally don't see a huge difference between 128gb and 256gb - both will rely primarily on the cloud for storage, for that i pocket the $200 and put it towards cloud service Smilie.

Who isn't getting reamed by Apple? Are you trying to convince people on here to not buy Apple products, or to pay an extra $200 for another 128GB storage (and further getting reamed)? Why are you here?
