iPhone SE 32GB Silver - Verizon Prepaid for $199 @ BestBuy

The iPhone SE 32GB Silver phone is available for $199 @ BestBuy [bestbuy.com]. This is the same front page deal just a couple months ago. I know this is more expensive than the AT&T model, however you can take this overseas, use on any GSM carrier etc. Unlike AT&T model, you do not have to wait 6 months to unlock.

Update: According to the good guys of slick, looks like this model is no longer fully unlocked. Sorry for the crap post without doing more research everyone. Now this is just an iPhone SE on Verizon.

You sure it's unlocked? I thought I read prepaid VZW phones (even iPhones) were SIM locked...

Not sure if you know this but Best buy and verizon blocked these from being fully unlocked.

Or are you saying that it's fully unlocked if you only use it overseas?

So I bought this during the last deal and I'm using it on At&t. If you can search for the last thread, look at the last few pages where a bunch of people confirmed it was unlocked. Search for verizon iPhone SE.

Yup gotta find the last Verizon iPhone SE deal. It was from July around prime day time. Bunch of people confirmed unlocked.

Thanks lol with iphone 8 around the corner I know it's a hard sell. But this phone is legit especially if you need it to travel overseas.

Correct, they were unlocked but after a certain date, verizon/best buy/apple closed the loophole of it being fully unlocked

I believe after July 18th, if you did not insert a non verizon sim card in the phone, it was locked to verizon prepaid

Awesome. Also I agree with you OP, the SE (imo) is a great phone. (But then I don't like mini iPad Mini's in my pocket.)

Well if this is true. Well see this post downvoted to hell. Can you post the link for the loophole?

So are you saying that after July 18th, if you *do* first insert a prepaid Verizon SIM then it will still be fully SIM unlocked?

Edit: Hang on, your double negatives are really confusing me now...
