So when it doesn't mention certified refurbished, I assume it's scratch and dent because its an outlet?

Beware i ordered and returned 2 refurbished laptops from outlet (alienware 15) due to various ports not working/random crashes even after windows reset/ cpu overheat. The laptops are not well tested but customer service is good as long as you return it within the allowed time

No problem. I am still hesitating.
If the price is little bit lower around $1000, I would def bite it. Frown

I was looking forever and wanted a loaded one but sometime they show one with the oled/gtx 1060/ i5 quad core/180gb ssd/8gb ram this is the one that will get you under $1000 and give you the best bang for the buck especially for a marginal performance loss overall. Those ones never stay long in the outlet.

OP got a good deal, looks like they jacked the prices up as OP's config can't be had for less than $1550 starting price right now.

Honest question here: help me understand why someone would want a 13" screen with 1366 x 768 resolution on a powerful-ish laptop? What do you use it for?

I will +rep all helpful replies.

Over the last several years, I have purchased about a half dozen computers from their outlet. I have not had any issues with any of them. I love dell outlet because of how easy it is to return. If you do not like it for any reason, you can return. Also, if you are lucky, you might get an offer to keep the laptop instead of returning it!

If you think this i s a goo deal, then buy. If you just want to try it for a few weeks, this is the way to go.

Good Luck!
