First off, we don't have a time machine to go back to that Newegg sale. Secondly, why are they crap? Do they not hold a charge or something?

It's called "brand bias". It's related to the placebo effect. People think products are better if they have a more well known brand even if there is no basis in reality. That's the point of branding afterall.

I have AmazonBasics, Eneloops and Fujitsu batteries. They isn't any difference in quality and use.

I'm assuming yes, but I have the same question. A charger is a charger I suppose. i have the eneloop charger from the Costco pack I purchased a while ago.

My other question is...These look to be the same capacity as the regular eneloops I got from Costco and i see they sell a high capacity version...When would there be a need to sue the high capacity version?

I think any decent nimh battery charger would be fine to use.

If you have Amazon Prime Now in your area and have any of the $10 credits they were giving for slow shipping option you can grab these from there. I'm planning on ordering a set of AAA and one of AA to get over the shipping minimum and applying my credit. It was expiring soon and needed to use before the end of the month anyways.

I also see that the eneloops say they can be recharged 2100 times vs 1000 times for the Amazon Basic version, but honestly, I don't see myself recharging these over 1000 times I think.

there are some sites discussing the use cases for high capacity versions vs regular capacity. I think the general consensus is that the high capacity ones provide some additional use between charges but aren't that much better, and you get a better value by buying the regular capacity ones since they have twice the number of cycles 1000 recharge cycles vs 500 for the high capacity versions.

Thanks for the link and info. Looks like I'll just stick with the regular capacity since will mostly be used for remotes and maybe some small flashlights.

the better question is "Would it be wise to get this over the Eneloops?"

LSD + made in Japan = Eneloop. Remember, Eneloops are just rebranded Fujitsu batteries. They don't have a exclusive agreement. Amazon and Ikea also rebrand the same Fujitsu batteries.

These are junk. With the massive Fujitsu/Eneloop sale that NewEgg had recently, are folks really buying this junk?? Also BTW - I bought the 12 pack of these for $9.50 and threw them out, after I received the Fujitsus.
