Depends on your citizenship. If you're a US citizen, you don't need a visa for up to 90 days in a 6 months period

A lot of times a nonstop from DFW could cost twice as much as a three-leg flight from El Paso. That's the downside of a lot of these deals, they're often just seat-fillers for the airlines to secondary cities.
