Sam's Club - Member's Mark Hose Reel Cart - Clearance @ BM YMMV - $29.91

I was just at Sam's Club and saw their Hose Reel Cart, normally $80, was listed for $30 likely on clearance for the season.

I own this and other than getting flat tires now and again this thing is great. We've had it for 2 years now and I would definitely recommend it!

This is a great price for this hose reel cart.

This was at the Batavia, IL location and they had quite a few of them.

This is a link to the cart:

never considered the benefit of having a hose on wheels.... since it has to be plugged into a pipe somewhere, wouldnt it make more sense to just have it reel back up at the point of the water spout?

just wondering what people use it for

I heart sams club clearances.

The wheels make it easy to just wheel it into the garage during winter.

Most homes have multiple outdoor hose bibs (spout/faucet) so this would make it super simple to use one hose at multiple locations.

I have a plastic hose cart now that has been degraded by sun and general age to the point it is falling apart. I'll drop by my local sams to check these out.

Ours sits mostly in our back yard, which is drenched by the sun all day long and it's in really good shape still after 2 years.

Yes, we also have 2 spigots at our home. While we mostly leave it in back we have disconnected it and wheeled it to the front on occasion. It does also help bring it into the garage or shed more easily as well. Heck, some people may not want to have a visible hose reel or box taking up space and decide to always keep it put in the shed until needed.

One of the nice features is that it has nice brass fittings that don't leak. The crank handle is well built and I don't really have to bend down very much to crank it. Plastic ones can be annoying to reel and may eventually start leaking easier. I'm glad I bought one and I will replace with the same product if it's still available when this one wears out.

but for the cost of $40, wouldnt it be just more effective to spend $30 and get a 50-100 ft rubber hose from sears in each location?

Not sure where $40 came from. For the cost of $30 why not just get the cart and be able to bring the hose wherever you want to and not have to mess around with 2 hoses?

sorry, forgot this deal was $30, not $40, someone else had said 39.91 they got it for, thought they were implying they had done the deal a while ago.

And to your question - i find having the hose where I want it much easier than having to drag a hose back and forth between two locations, but to each his own.

Buy this and you don't need to 'drag' anything... Just wheel it around. Teasing aside.. whatever works for you!

Those that are interested I in this and I like it better than any other hose reel I've seen.

I'll update the OP. Reviews on Sam's website are not great 2.5/5 stars. I mentioned the flat tire issue, but other than that the thing has been great. My father owns one as well and he likes his a lot.
