Great reviews, elements seem to be it's weakness. camel3x shows Amazon's low price was 189 in May. In for 1.
price at Jet $219.98 - 66$ (warehouse30) = $153.98 +9.24 tax = $163.22. I didn't see anything about it being refurbished listed anywhere...

edit: this appears to be the 1st gen with the controls in the rear and vent on top which supposedly has better airflow than a side vent for less creosote on food., and a larger drip pan.

I recently purchased the Bluetooth version (gen 2.5) for $162.00 (with 5% off that using my Advantage card for $152.96 out the door) due to a pricing error that I had to fight for with the sales manager.

Anyhow, these smokers are great. I'm not so sure about this version, however I hear the housing construction is superior by comparison. This I can't confirm.

If it weren't for error, I would have gone for the 40". It sucks having to cut racks of ribs in half. Everything just feels tight. It's better to have the space if ever needed, than to go with a smaller one just cause I was sure I'd never throw a big gathering (although I'm a family of six!)

Oh, and those who are say windowed smokers are pointless. I'd have to disagree. For one, it's nice to see the bark developing. Secondly, it's a motivating factor to keep the smoker clean. (Fyi, Krud Kutter is amazing! It blasts the creosote on contact, non-toxic, biodegradable, and odorless.)
