Coupon for Bitdefender renewal but should work for new subscription too. I just renewed my subscription. so I can vouch that the coupon works.

Coupon code: RENEWAL-EXP-19.99

1. goto https://www.bitdefender.com/renewal/
2. Select Total Security 2018 - subscription option up to 5 devices - 1 year and click buy now
3. Enter coupon code "RENEWAL-EXP-19.99" in the discount coupon text box

or simply click here [bitdefender.com]

note: if you already have a subscription, this will extend it by 365 days. so it a good deal considering 5 devices can be added and it does not overwrite the existing subscription.

Important:
Bitdefender by default enables auto renewal for all subscription. I would strongly suggest to disable it once you've activated your subscription. just follow the below steps

1. Create an account here [avangate.com] with the email ID that you used to buy the subscription
2. Once registered, go to "My Prodcuts" and click "Disable autorenwal" that shows up next to "Auto-Renewal: enabled"
3. Follow the onscreen prompts and make sure the my product page now shows "Auto-Renewal: disabled"
4. Just as a fail safe, go to "Payment Methods" tab and delete any card that is associated to your account. this way even if auto renwal is enabled, there won't be a card to charge Cool

cheers!

You can uncheck auto renewal during subscription or go to https://secure.avangate.com/myaccount and create an account with the email ID used for subscription. Once registered you can go to "my products" tab and disable auto renewal. Also delete the associated CC in "Payments Method" tab as a failsafe.

I've used bitdefender for probably over 10 years and it is fantastic. I also do PC repair on the side and when people have a machine that is unable to be cleaned, I use BD. It works pretty much 100% when combined with malwarebytes for particular types of malware.

Thanks OP, going to renew my subscription .

Bought it last year.
A LOT of features are missing on macOS version btw compared to Windows. FYI

Does anyone know what the difference is between this and the anti-virus product? I did read up on that and it lists security and malware. So I'm just curious if anyone has any further insight.

I've never used Bitdefender but just got subscription for myself and want to get one for a relative who does not shop online. Is this auto-renew? If so, how can I be sure it doesn't get charged to my CC?
Thanks

Antivirus provides only malware and ransomeware protection. Where in total security has file encryption, firewall, spam filter, anti theft, remote scan and parent control as well. Total security is the highest level of service that bitdefender offers, I'll always choose total security over antivirus.

This replaces my current subscription? I have 221 days left on my current subscription, but the activation code seems to replace it with 90 days and add 365 days for the new subscription. This gives me a total of 455 days, instead of extending my subscription to 586 days.

Update: It looks like I have Antivirus For Mac and Mobile Security which have 90 days remaining. That's what threw me off. It did extend my Total Security subscription to 586 days.

I had 37 days remaining on my old subscription and it added 365 on top of it, not sure if there is a 90 day defined max limit, ideally it should not but you can chat with customer rep, they should be able to sort it out.
