I can't tell if you're asking hypothetically or rhetorically? It's a pocket knife soooo it's for cutting things... and putting it back in your pocket?

If you're positing your question in a rhetorical fashion due to the knife's aesthetics and pricetag then that's a relatively reasonable question. We knife guys forget how our addiction looks to the general public. In a pragmatic sense, there's many comparative Kershaw knives that are a fraction of this knife's price but not less than this ZT's weight and blade material "quality" (most cheaper knives use 440C stainless steel which does dull easily and isn't easy to get a good edge on).
Sure, you're paying a good bit for the brand name here but it's a two edged sword (pun intended) because it holds it's value better than a lower tier brand. This isn't worthwhile for a casual user.

However, if you're trying to get into the knife collecting culture and if you carry and use a knife a great deal then it's hard to go wrong with one of the lightest knives for blade length on the market.

Purchased it from the Vanguard seller, best of both worlds: same price with Prime backing, and no paying tax in CA. Thanks OP!

Good knife, small and light for edc. However for the price, I prefer the bigger 0452CF.

Heavy like a brick? Are you sure you're not mixing Zero Tolerance up with Cold Steel brand because I tend to do that.

For anyone not familiar with this brand or model, comparatively speaking, it matches a Benchmade 940 Carbon Fiber closest in weight and form factor but, surprisingly, this is lighter than the already super light Benchmade by .3 ounces according to the website description but that's in part due to a shorter blade with the ZT at 3.25 inches vs 3.4 with the BM.
You'll have fun with either brand though.

Just a heads up. Amazon pic shows a steel blade but description says DLC (black blade), which it seems to be.
