This laptop is based on the Clevo P750DM2-G, I think. This model can be configured, but I find the most interesting configuration to be a GTX 1070 + I5-7600K or I7-6700K. The 7700K is another cost which I'm not sure worth it.

The coupon gives 10% off + unlocked bios + delidded CPU + 120HZ display
The P750DM2-G has many connection and storage options, with two M.2 NVMe slots, mini DP 1.3, HDMI 2.0, Thunderbolt 3 and more.

The most basic GTX 1070 + I7 configuration includes 1TB 7200RPM HDD, I7-6700K and GTX 1070 + 120HZ display if you want it (but that's a mediocre TN panel) and it will total at $1585. The I7-7700K version will cost ~$1675. The I5-7600K configuration will cost $1416 which is quite low for such a laptop.

This model has a replaceable MXM GPU and ofcourse a socketed CPU (but 8th generation CPUs will not be able to work with this chipset)

The Delidded CPU will probably result in much lower temps and has an advantage over other laptops

1070 not worth it at this price... 1070 @ 1k to 1300 is sweet spot with the ammount of goodies thrown in to justify the higher cost such as NVME SSD, 120hz G Sync, battery size, CPU, Ram size, manufacturer such as Alienware or Razer build quality etc.

Wow, this site reminds me of Micron's site circa 1998 where you could configure your computer right from one screen. I like it!

What kind of an adapter do you need to go from a European plug to a North American one?

You need an EU to US converter, not just an adapter unless the laptop can run on both 120 and 220v, which I don't think is the case here.

Some devices can run on both 120 and 220 so an adapter is sufficient but if not then you need a converter/adapter combo.

cyber power or alienware open boxes.... but they won't be high specs in other areas and if they are it's closer to 1300 for awesome deals.

Right but you said 1k was the sweet spot and now you're saying 1300 but this is 1400 and an incredibly good deal for a unique and powerful setup so I guess I don't get your argument/logic

Does this have HDCP 2.2?

Is this unlocked Bios the highly coveted Prema Mod?

Do I have to select Unlocked Bios/Delidded CPU then input the coupon, or stay at stock BIOS then add coupon?

1. Yes, there is competition here. That's not a clear buy.
2. But, even if you can catch GTX 1070 for $1300 sometimes, that's not with a "K" CPU, not dellided, not with these features. The Alienware 15 is a mediocre laptop, and not as good in terms of thermals, GPU and CPU can not be replaced and the default 1080p display is a basic IPS display last time I checked (maybe they've upgraded).
3. The Clevo build quality is fine.

This question has been asked a lot (their site isn't great at all). You have to place the coupon in the "Configuration Instructions:" box at the bottom of the page
They'll contact you anyway

Old site. That's after the upgrade, btw. I think they upgraded 3-4 years ago, if I remember correctly

You can get a European cable instead of adapter - more comfortable.
