Must use the FP app, rather than the native dialer?

You will start getting a 1 cent fee on your credit card every month if their is any inactivity. They forgot to list that for their "Free" service.

If $0.01 is an issue, maybe an EBT card can net a better deal..?

OP, very good and organize post you have made (nice touch on the screen shots).

I have no doubt that in the near future, shipping won't be charged for this same deal, just how Freedompop operates, so for that reason I will wait.

I certain that you read that this plan is .99 per month, right? So just call it $1.00/month and you can sleep at night.

Thanks! It's Windows Snipping tool & if you have windows you may already have it on your computer.

I really like FP offerings (not necessarily cs) but understand why people run away but the FP rep has been pretty good to me here on SlickDeals. In that respect I try to be as transparent as possible on these FP deals I post.

I seen they didn't offer Free shipping on this sim card like the other sims. I did cough up the shipping cost b/c this is pretty good deal for my future needs (full rollover potential). I hope your right that they start offering free shipping on this deal it would make it at a Fantastic intro price point. The shipping does kind of hurt haha

I'll Paypal you that penny.

Maybe they should call it 1 cent a month service?

Just noticed that in your first screenshot, bottom RH corner, says "Free Shipping" (airplane pic). Maybe you can get refund for shipping, if you can reach someone.

This plan is not their free plan & is not subject to the 1 cent fee your referring too.

Thanks OP posting this. I just want to share my experiences with this company. I jumped on a similar deal a few months back. First a few months were good until the free trial of some premier service ended. I cancel the service on their website, but was charged 7.99 anyway. I had to call them to cancel the service. A few months went by, I got charged again for some international service. I didn't catch it until the 3rd months they charged me. Again, with the free account, we don't have phone support. I tried to find the place to dispute the charge on the portal but no vail. I had to call their phone support. They charged me 5.88 for that phone call and refuse to refund the service fee for the first 2 months charges. So I paid 5.88 to get 4.99 back.

Basically this company has a lot of traps. Using some free or low price to lure SDers, they add other charges without letting you know. If you monitor your expenses report from your bank statement very carefully, this might work for you. But for me, it's too much hassle to worry about those mysterious charges. I cancelled their "FREE" account after all these. And disputed with Paypal on their charges. I got my money back in the end.

This deal doesn't sound like a "Similar deal" that you went with. There is no "Free Trial" Plans nor Services offered on this deal. This is a paid plan not free plan you had so it should get phone support. It's unfortunate you had to go through so many hoops & that they didn't refund you the money if the service was not used.

It should also be mentioned that you must read FP deal terms carefully to understand what your signing up for in advance (fine print). In the end you got your money back bringing in a 3rd party (good thing). I've been using FP for 1 1/2 years now & have 8 accounts. There's been a few bumps but always smooths out. I would like to think your the exception & not the rule. The good thing about our internet is their is a wealth of information about how FP works & I would recommend to anyone read, read, & read, to understand how they tick before proceeding. (fewer surprises haha) That's what I did anyways so maybe that's where I've been ok with them overall. Thanks for sharing
