Klipsch R-12SWi 12" Front-Firing and Spun Copper Wireless Subwoofer on sale this week at Fry's for $219 with promo code. Supposed to be in store only, but it's still showing as available for shipping, so hopefully it stays like that and promo code works for it when shipped. They've removed the shipping option so indeed it is in store only.

***Fry's promo codes are unique and emailed. You can sign up here [frys.com].***

Code begging? Just be a nice person and provide unused codes to those that need them if you are not using. It's called a community for a reason. I hope you have a nice day.

Any comments, I'd be moving up from the Polk 10" sub for a big basement, or using them both together.

I think, don't do that. knightshade or someone more informed will be around & advise.

On to the code begging, and providing!

Looks like codes aren't live period, yet. Tried it on another item, same thing.

haha no worries, that's how these threads break down- 30% code begging, 30% code providing, 40% arguing about the least amount one should spend on a subwoofer. Works out for everyone. Looks like a great deal, glwd & enjoy the sub!

btw I did the $189 jbl 550p deal last week, and just requested a return label because it was complete garbage... would this be a significant upgrade for not much more? 200w instead of 300w, but 12" > 10", and only 2hz short of jbl's range.

This is interesting comparison IMO. Simply because this Klipsch is worse than the last 2 budget champs from Klipsch/Frys, and doesn't go as low as either did. This may be a slightly deeper sub than the JBL, but I'm pretty sure that JBL sounds better, and is definitely built better just from the specs. This sub is 3x lbs. That JBL is 50 lbs, and I saw the tear down. It has a huge 10" driver, 1" MDF, and a decent amp. So which would I take? I think even for HT/mixed use, I'd go with the 10" JBL over THIS Klipsch. The name sounds like the R-112SW, but it's not as good a sub. I'd love to find a direct comparison.

Edit: Also from other reviews, the 550P shouldn't sound like garbage. Maybe you got a bad one, or didn't set it up right, or were expecting more boom for the buck. People have been using these for music, and there's been a lot of positive feedback. If you want deeper sub at this price maybe the Bic F12 will do the trick. Definitely be more boomy/muddy IMO.
