Too expensive for a non-brand one.

I actually have this and love it. It is very good for pre-fab fried things like fries, mozzarella sticks etc.. come out crisp like it was deep fried. Performs much better than an oven if you wanted to avoid a fryer plus it is much quicker than the oven.

As far as non prefab items. It is excellent for quick cakes, biscuits or anything with fresh raw dough. Just place a small piece of foil with a little cooking spray under your dough. As an example raw biscuits come out perfect in 7 mins @ 370*

You may find one on Black Friday for that. Doubt it will be digital the presets seem like a big advantage.

The $40 BF friday one I got has most of the writing worn off.. Difficult to know time or temp. The screw also likes to come loose on the fan.

For an air fryer, this is name brand. Remember, most brands do not actually produce anything with their label. These are the cream of the crop. I just am looking for a larger model on sale, so this one does not work. I would like 5qt or larger.

You're smart. I have both the medium and large size in this brand - GoWise (next to Phillips and cheapo Farberware the largest selling brand). Frankly, like TV screens, the 'innards' are made by two or three major non-retail branded manufacturers and assembled in China and after buying the 3+ qt version, realized the 5 qt. model was definitely more practical. Also, the digital settings make using an airfryer a breeze.

Just my opinion ...
