Not the best bundle ever but pretty neat and usually a lot harder to get after-the-fact...

Not sure - I have that one but I didn't really notice how hard it was to get. I have three big FE fans in my household so if I am not on the ball on these special editions I get evil looks... Smilie

Excellent.. thanks. This has been available on Amazon and is still available on GS but at full price of course. I was waiting for the BB page to come "live" -- it's been at "Coming Soon."

Amazon has been P$#&*@ me off with bungled promo deals and stuff, so I've recently cancelled a bunch of pre-orders from Amazon and moved them to BB orders. (BB often doesn't post new special editions until weeks after Amazon and GS posts them -- so it's hard to keep up.)

As an FE fan.. this is definitely something worth getting for me. Not sure if it will be rare or collectible, but to me it's worth a few extra $ to get the special edition over the standard version.

Yeah, Amazon has been bungling up delivery of pre-orders, I didn't get Kingdom Battle until two days after release even though the Prime pre-order guaranteed release date. I have Mario Odyssey pre-ordered at Amazon but thinking of switching that somewhere else...

As a fire emblem fan, this was easy to resist, to me personally the extras don't seem that interesting

Yep. Definitely doing store pick up for this to avoid damaged boxes.

Zero interest in this special edition, that's for sure. This isn't even a regular FE game, so likely won't have that collector value in the long run. Still love me some musou games, so will grab this digitally with discounted eshop credit.

That is the other benefit of doing BB pre-orders. (though not all are listed as available for store pickup -- for some reason they keep some as direct-shiponly).

Anyway when you do store pickup, yes, it's usually in better condition plus you can check it right there as you pick it up. The biggest problem with BB is those damn pickup stickers that they put on each item. They don't seem to learn that this in some cases damages the item (especially if it's a "collectible"). Lately some stores are smart and only peel off a tiny corner of the adhesive surface. But other still slap on the whole sticker which depending on temperature and humidity can either be easy to remove, or end up ruining a box (if on cardboard) or leaving a messy residue on plastic (as in the Amiibo packages). The sticky residue on plastic is removable (in most cases), carefully. On cardboard, if it starts to remove the printed surface, not much you can do.

This happened to my Bravely Default collector's edition. it pealed part of the art. i don't care as much when I found out people kept calling for it while it was held for me at BB. It was rare to get the collector's copy at the time and now it's extremely rare outside of ebay. I'm just glad to have one with the box not crumpled. Amazon's shipments were botched badly and crumpled boxes.

I didn't realize the BBY pick up stickers are that bad for some people. I live in CA and the stickers always peel right off even on paper boxes.
