So what kind of hub does this work with? I am getting tired of every company has their own IoT devices ...

From the first couple of reviews on the product page, it looks like you need a Xiaomi Smarthome Gateway.

Can confirm. Just add the handler from the smartthings community and it works. Tried with one, ordering the rest now. Thanks OP!

I had 10 of these and paired with smartthings. You need a device handler to make it work with ST and a lot of button resetting during initial pairing. But once you have it paired, it works flawlessly.

Trying to figure out the uses, you can use this to turn lights on when door opens, turn off lights when window is shut, or lock the door when the door has been shut?

I also bought 3 of these. 1 did not pair after several tries. Emailed them and they sent one for free no question. That one did work. They have been working flawless for me. Just install the device handler before pulling the battery strips.

Stick with the ones your already have. I have multiples of both. The visonic from my digital discount are better. More reliable imho, from my own experience.

Exactly. I have several set up like this with my ST using automation SmartApps.
