AmazonFresh "Welcome" coupons (for trial members)

Hey all,

Just got some sort of mailer, mentioned these coupons. Didn't find them immediately. Reading the fine print, these offers are for new "invited" (?) members, not paid. So I guess that's for people still on the trial. Not as high as some of the other new member coupons out there. Additionally, according to terms, these coupons do not stack.

Codes:
FRESH10GIFT $10 off $100
FRESH5MEAT $5 off beef cuts with $75 purchase
FRESH5BREAD $5 off bakery bread with $75 purchase
FRESH5DELI $5 off deli items with $75 purchase

See page or wiki for terms. Hope that helps someone, at least a little!

I've had the Amazon Fresh trial for the past 2 and a half months. It's okay but certainly not worth paying a fee for. The biggest issue is to reach $40 minimum on each delivery. If they offered coupons on $10 off $50 maybe I could do it but no way can I hit $100.

The Prime card extra 10% is a plus right now. Was able to take advantage of that before my trial runs out in a week or so.

I got one in the mail that says $10 off, with a minimum order of $20. I don't even know which restaurants it applies to LOL

Edit: Just realized it's for restaurants, not Amazon Fresh. It's a promo code for Prime members. Think I should post it?

Guess someone already posted a similar code (not the same as the one I got) but it wasn't a big hit for some reason. Maybe because the website says free delivery over $35, but the mailer doesn't

I wanna see my meat. Smilie
But seriously, I don't trust anyone to get me good stuff to eat. Produce and meat products are tough enuf to buy from most chain stores. And deli stuff that is pre-cut is never for me. I always get it sliced fresh when I buy it. Even bread that is from an in-house bakery can be stale if it was shipped in from a central commissary like ...wait for it...Whole Foods, at their outrageous prices.

apartment people love Amazon Fresh. Abuse the shit out of delivery guys.

How do you feel when make people bring 50 pounds of your craps climb up your apartment stairs to your room and you did nothing to help?
For the money I'm paying I better not need to lift a finger. Honestly though I feel fine, theyre paid and I tip them when I catch them. Some dont even accept tips. Do you feel bad when the garbage guys come pick up your trash?

I don't mind doing it. 50 to 60 pounds isn't much.

I had one customer who brought over 200 pounds worth of food. But she sent her husband out to help me. Better yet, they were good tippers.

A few closed gate apartments require too much travel from the car to get to their room. In those events I just call ahead to let them know they are meeting me in the lobby. Noone has complained yet.

amazon will fire drivers if they know about tipping.

amazon is a very bad company when it comes to their employees.
Amazon uses them until they're either Physically drained or if their body breaks and can't go on. There is a clause when you join Amazon that says something to the tune of "Knowing that this is a labor intensive job, employee agrees that Amazon has given them all the required tools to do the job and that any injury caused while working, they won't be responsible as the FEMA RPNs of their warehouses are low". Used to believe that clause won't be legal but they used it on one of warehouse worker. When he slipped a disk in his spine while working in the warehouse.

That's how Amazon treats ALL of their employees. I think Bezo's gets off on ripping his workforce apart. Employees in the main office are even encouraged to report each other to their supervisors anonymously. If you can last a year in the main office you are doing good...

The prices on Amazon Fresh is still high compared to my local supermarkets. It also have a minimum for free shipping but luckily it's the subtotal.

Some of the deals are good but not good enough that can justify Fresh over local.

I made two orders just so I can get those tote bags. They are great for one I drive to Costco or a supermarket further away during the summer.

That's the whole point of the grocery delivery service. You shouldn't have to help. It's the delivery people's job.

What about the water delivery guy bringing 15 cases of water? It's their job and they get paid for it. I haven't used the Amazon fresh yet because it doesn't work for the family plan I'm on but I order Prime Now with a bunch of boxes of diapers and wipes. ]
