Costco has a better version of this rice cooker for the same price. Model ARC-5000. I got mine for less through Google Express after voucher use.

Got the costco model and love it. We were remodeling our kitchen and needed something to cook in/with and this did all the heavy lifting. Soups, ribs, rice and steamed veg.... excellent if you're in need of something to cook in and don't want to have a heavy crock-pot to haul down to the bathroom to clean.

From my research, it wasn't as versatile as Instant Pot. So decided to wait till a deal on that. Maybe I am wrong - someone more knowledgeable can pitch in.

We used to love having a rice cooker at our house, but once we got a countertop pressure cooker it was hard to see the need for a standard rice cooker. Rice comes out nice, restaurant-quality (if you get the water ratio correct going in), and better than in an affordable rice cooker to me. I've never had a Zojirushi/fuzzy logic rice cooker so maybe that would still be better for rice, but we use our Instant Pot for rice and for so much more that I haven't wanted a standalone rice cooker for years. We have two countertop pressure cookers, actually, so we can do rice in one and the protein in the other. Love it. Not trying to troll the rice cooker thread, but I personally haven't needed one for a while now because of the Instant Pot's effectiveness as a rice cooker.

This is a great rice cooker but think I got mine cheaper at target. Use it at least 2-3 times a week. Cheaper than instapot if you just want a rice cooker / slow cooker
