I think its a good deal considering these typically go for $80+ for 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. Has Bluetooth as well and dual-band WIFI.

No SD slot. Is it easy to plug in a USB adapter for SD?

Isn't the 4gb Yundoo Y8 better? Cost more though, =( about $112+/-

Both boxes need firmware updates to correct some issues mentioned in reviews. just about all electronics manufacturers suck in this area and always push out products that future firmware updates will correct and fine-tune, we would hope :-)

Some issues have been fixed.. others, not. Although, one could just buy a cheap laptop these days and not worry about such nonsense ($200 +). There are 4gb ram 64gb rom boxes coming out soon with rockchip 3399.. latest is 4/32...

Laptops can't play Showbox unless you install BlueStacks and at that point the laptop better be good to support BlueStacks because I've tried BlueStacks on crappy laptops and it sucks. Anyway, the Yundoo Y8 comes in both 2/4gb versions and the H96 pro+ has 3gb. They both share the same processor.

I would love one of these Chinese manufacturers to add me to the design team! I would kick some ass and make sure they don't put out a shity box! The technology and components are available to create a fantastic Android box. Contrary to popular belief the cost does not have to be astronomical for such a box.

I'm not sure where but I read somewhere in one of these reviews that the rk3399 does not support HDR.
I don't get it, why are these freaking manufacturers so damn cheap. I want to see them be like that on a first date! See how far that gets them... What I would like to do is take the latest processor used in the Galaxy Note 8 and slap that into an Android box with an SSD slot for storage. Also 8 gigs of ddr4 RAM and 64 gigs on on-board. There is a box on the market that does come with an SSD slot but the rest of the hardware is questionable. it's also another box that has dual tuners, one for satellite and one for terrestrial. again though these manufacturers ruin and interesting Box by adding DDR3 RAM instead of ddr4. that's like putting a guy with really bad teeth in a hot dog eating contest.

Somehow I think development has been cutoff (funding) due to the anti piracy backlash...

Regarding Gearbest.com:

I've had to stop payment and my CC was able to give me my money back. After writing them about my order this was their response:

"Thank you very much for ordering from Gearbest.

We apologize that your order is taking a long time to process.

Stock and availability shown on our site is for your reference only. "

On top of that they said they would cancel my order and refund my money but only in online credit, not back to my card. This is a warning to the Slickdeals community. Sincerely, MP

Had a similar experience with gearworest... Over 2 weeks and my item wasnt shipped. Started messaging them a week after I ordered and they said it was in stock and would ship out between 1-2 days... did that for a week (kept asking them when it would ship) and finally asked them to cancel it and refund. They said they can't because it is now "out of the warehouse" and shipping info would be updated that day. Then I did a live chat and the rep said it would be shipped between 1-2 days.. When I asked why they said it was already shipped they said it wasnt so asked for a refund and they said they can't because it is "out of the warehouse in process for shipping". Filed a complaint with paypal and after a week (1 day before their time to respond to my complaint would have been over) they said they cancelled my order and refunded my money. Funny since they kept claiming it was shipped until they were finally faced with either providing shipping information or refund me my money. Also buy from gearworest with a method that is easy to file a complaint against.
