It appears my joke escaped everyone.

I guess it's best not to make jokes that aren't funny

Other way around, this Energy 5.1 came out years before the Monoprice one. Energy filed suit against Monoprice for ripping off a design patent of there's when Monoprice first introduced there 5.1 system. Monoprice had to change the "ribbed" design feature of the driver. Having said that the Monoprice version supposedly sounds great. I can personally vouch for this Energy set as I have it and it is wonderful for the small to medium. Size room.

I remember shortly after getting this set watching the movie Master and Commander, the opening battle scene just blew me away in 5.1

haha, ouch! Monoprice really became popular these days, I have to agree they do make good and cheap products.

Energy Take Classic 5.1 is the original. Monoprice is the clone.
