I have an Oster 76 that has been rock solid for years. This looks like it would be a lot nicer to travel with due to its compact size. However I generally have bad luck with battery powered hair trimmers and I'm worried this would cut as well, so I'll just be over here sitting atop the fence.

Bought this at the $45 price several weeks ago and absolutely love it! I don't use a guard so I can't speak to that, but for those of us wanting a really short cut this is the bomb.

Then, might as well just buy a corded one for much less.

I've had one of these for a while now. Always used it without the guards and it would cut great. I paid full price for it and don't regret it one single bit. Battery lasts for several cuts and holds power for a while. The nice thing is that you can charge and cut at the same time. Highly recommend it!

I think I paid $35 for it as well and absolutely loved it. I don't use a guard either, so I can't comment on that, but for a close cut, this thing is awesome.

I bought this last time and I absolutely love it. I shave my head and I get lazy often so I tend to just use the trimmer to cut it very short. I had a Wahl hair cutting trimmer which I used before but this one cuts soooooooo much shorter and it's so quick and easy.

I never understood how this wouldn't be a standard function on all trimmers.

I've had mine for awhile and love it. Uncorded it's nice to stand outside or in the shower and just sheer without caring where the hair falls. Corded if for some reason you didn't remember to charge it or take a long time cutting. Nice to be able to rinse it too. Plenty of clip guard options.

Fits very comfortably and securely in one's hand. Nice broad clipping face and the curve really helps keep it against the head.

If I HAD to make up an improvement I'd say the case design, without a guard on the clipper face it catches inside the case. Also, it'd be nice if it came with the means to store it with its clipper guards.

That's being picky though. It's a unique fantastically functional approach that's very well executed.
