It's actually a known fact that round ice doesn't melt as quickly. Great for hard drinks.

Just an FYI on silicone ice trays. They stink after awhile in the freezer. They're made out of the same material as cupcake and other cake molds. There's all kinds of advice online to use vinegar or baking soda, none of it works. I put mine in the oven at 325 for about 10 minutes and the stink was gone! Make sure you have SILICONE and not plastic.

According to the instructions on the site this will only make really cold balls of water. I am looking for one that makes ice.

Instructions:
The first step: Fill the cube trays with pure water.
The second step: Clean up excess water stains.
The third step: Put the ice cube trays into the refrigerator.
Tip: Wash it with water and disinfect it with boiling water.

In for one and Repped!

Yeah but wouldn't round ice constantly keep rolling up to your face when drinking?

Go to local Marshall or TJmaxx, it's cheaper.

This is due to less surface area. Given the same volume, spherical ice will melt only up to 20% slower. It also cools the drink less.
