The Studio 520C features a pair of 4" (100-millimeter) low-frequency woofers and a high-frequency compression driver surrounded by a glass-filled Bi-Radial horn, a combination that delivers crisp, focused, dimensionally accurate sound.

Newegg is currently having a flash sale on the JBL Studio 520 Center Channel Speaker for $179.99 with free shipping.

This speaker's MSRP is $800 and typically sells for $350. I think the lowest it's been is March's $190 deal.

This is a great speaker to pair with the Studio 580s or 590s that have had deals recently

Why do some centers have two sets of speaker attachments, and some have only one l & r

Aside from price, thoughts on this vs the Studio 235C? In some of the 520C reviews, I see complaints about the 4" drivers being inadequate to match up with large fronts.

Most likely bi-amp capable. They can be bridged together to connect with one pair of wires or can have two pairs going to separate amps so you can use two separate amps and manage the crossover at the receiver.

Edit: looked at the photos, definitely bi-amp, the same as the 580/590s. You can see the metal bridges in the photo. There's no drawback to having that and it gives you the option to use bi-amp in the future, it tends to only be done on higher-end speakers.

Yep, bi-amp. All Studio 5 series have two sets. Manual says use either one if you have a single amp. I have mine all connected to the bottom set from my receiver.

The big difference is the 520's compression drivers. That's what sets the 5 series apart.

Picked one up to match my 580s I got recently. Went from low level polk audio book shelfs to 580s and this center. Quite the upgrade haha.

Are these JBL 590/120 way better compared to Infinity primus line P363/P351 and Polk signature S60/S35 ?

I did the same exact thing. The difference is indescribable. It was like listening to my favorite songs for the first time again.

Similar question, I have the Primus towers but no center, can I pair this center with it?

As someone who may partake in the 420 every so often that helps bump up sound awesomeness. Wow. Just wow. The sound quality is incredible. Video games, music, and movies are just mind blowingly awesome now compared to before. Like you said its like playing for the first time.
