I thought it was a camera bag to snoop on people. Creeped me out at first until I read the details.

Why do I feel like the one in the video isn't the "small" version.

You are right. It's the much larger Classic Messenger. I have both the Classic and Small Snoop. I actually use the small quite a bit. It's my go to when I want to go minimal...usually street photography and such.

I own a timbuk2 bag, if you are wanting a quality and comfortable bag I suggest getting one. Lasted me through college and for a few years so far as a daily bag for work.

Is this larger than needed for a mirrorless?

I have a medium Timbuk2 and I added the snoop insert. It fits my Canon 80d, three lenses, hood, charger, and a few other small accessories. Probably still has room for a flash.

I bought a Timbuktu backpack last month, looked very nice and good quality except immediately the back zipper for the laptop section started catching on the fabric inside and tearing it so I returned it. Leery to try them for future bags. Shame, very nice looking bags.

I've had and used one of these bags for years. My only regret is not getting a larger bag

I have an extra small & a medium bag from Timbuk2 & the medium is huge for a medium. They are of amazing quality & are seeming to last forever while still looking new. I highly recommend them.

You should contact Timbuk2 because that's unusual for one of their bags. They stand behind their products.

Would this fit a 70-200mm and 5d and 50mm or 24-70?

It wasn't necessary to contact them at the time because I had just gotten the bag via Staples so I just returned it, it was the Command backpack in blue, really beautiful bag, I seriously thought about living with the issue.
