Vitamix Standard Programs Blender Reconditioned for $233.96 (+tax) with Free Shipping

$233.96

You can get Vitamix Certified Reconditioned Standard Programs (C-series) blander + extra Cookbook from Vitamix directly for
$233.96 + tax with free shipping:

https://www.vitamix.com/us/en_us/...d-Programs

Use Promo Code CHAMPMICHAELG to get:
  • 10% off of total order, bringing down the price from $259.95 to $233.96
  • A free Vitamix Cookbook, a $19.95 value (this is in addition to the other smaller cookbook included in the box)
  • Free Standard Shipping

What comes in the box:
  • Motor Base
  • Classic 64-ounce Container
  • Cookbook
  • Classic Tamper

Additional Details:
  • The blender has 3 pre-programmed settings for consistent results with walk-away convenience for Smoothie, Hot Soup, and Frozen Dessert recipes.
  • It is essentially the Vitamix 6500 model that Costco sells or the Professional Series 500 model that Target sells. It's identical base/motor with a different label depending on where it's sold. As per Vitamix site, the label on the machine that you will receive might say one of these C-series machines: Professional Series 500, 6300, 6500 or Total Nutrition Center 3.
  • Vitamix customer service rep told me that, except the motor base, everything in the box comes brand new and even the motor sometime is new which might not had any defects to start with.
  • It comes with 5-Year Full Warranty. But, you can optionally add 3 more years of warranty for $75 extra, to get a total of 8 years warranty.
  • For comparison, Costco B&M currently has this model (Vitamix 6500) on sale for $439+tax after $60 instant saving with following differences:
    • It's brand new, not reconditioned
    • It has low profile 64-ounce jar as compared to 64-ounce classic jar (which is 3.5" taller)
    • Comes with an additional jar, a $99 value

So, you decide if the $206 difference (between reconditioned from Vitamix vs. new at Costco) is worth for you or not.

By the way, this promo code is good for buying any other model (new or refurbished) or any accessory too that's available on their website.

Hope this helps

You're more than likely to get the 6300 or 500 than the 6500. The 6500 that Costco sells also has a 2.2 hp motor vs the 2.0hp motor the 6300 and 500 have. I wish Vitamix would let you buy a Reconditioned 6500 from them directly, but I guess it's not a big seller so they get less returns on that model.

Nonetheless, this is still the lowest price I have seen all year for the Reconditioned Standard Programs. Definitely tempted by this slick deal.

The 780 deal that went out couple of week back sounds of a better value than this one when compared.

It was, but was barely 24 hours.

What is functionally different between the two? Does this have the 2.0 vs 2.2 hp motor? I'd like to get one of these as a gift.

Unless you're lucky enough to get the 6500 this will have a 2.0hp motor. The 780 has two more presets, a 2.2 hp motor, and a newer enclosure that makes it quieter. Most people don't need the extra presets, but the quieter and more powerful motor makes it worth it.

They are both great blenders. I guess it just depends on the persons needs and which one has the better deal at the time.

Thanks, I just can't imagine the extra $150 would be worth it for the 780, at least for my needs.

The 780 deal from last month lasted 24 hours, and sold for 300 dollars plus tax.

The deal in this thread is for classic at 235 dollars plus tax.
This is the lowest price on these in over a year.

Now both are great blenders and get the job done.

I myself prefer manual/knobs etc compared to touchscreen for something like this. Not sure what happens if an electrical spike happens, it might screw up the touch screen. I have had microwaves/ovens/etc touchscreens go bad on me in the past. That is an individual preference I guess.

This deal might only last 24 hours too, I don't know.

I think 780 was 299$ during the deal (reconditioned of course). So, more of less extra 65$

How would this compare to the 5300 from the previous deal? Primarily making for smoothies.

It would do exactly the same thing. Pretty much all vitamix's are the same as to what they can do. They all do the same and blend your food exactly the same.

It's a little like a car. There are different grades of toyota cars, and they all run fine, and do the basic tasks the same. But if you like "fancy" features in your car, and super soft seats, and other fancy stuff, you get a car made by same company just higher tier. Some like touchscreen, some like other features, but in the END ... it is a very powerful deluxe blender, and you bought a vitamix and you should be able to blend anything within reason in all of them.

This classic has all the same features of the 5300.

Help me understand why you guys are willing to spend so much for a blender. What am I missing?

Basically it comes down to quality of the product, and warranty, and the power of this blender.

Maybe watch youtube videos comparing different models.

Now if you are vegan, or cook, or don't generally like vegetables , a device like this can blend all vegetables into a tasty smoothie, and of course do a lot of stuff other blenders can't do. Like make soup.

Many ordinary blenders break down after a year or 2, but the vitamix as a reputation for lasting decades. And this reconditioned unit comes with 5 year warrenty, if anything goes wrong with it, they will replace it to you, and free shipping both ways.

New vitamix's have longer warranty.

Many food places use vitamix to make food, so it's considered a commercial grade product.

It may or may not be for you, research it a guess, and ponder on it for a year or 2. Many people over a few years decide to get something like this after a few of the cheaper brands break down.
