Keep the Shark, Dyson is severely overrated. Animal and allergy models are just marketing, it's just the same vacuum with one or two extra attachments. Just order the right wand attachment for your Shark, assuming it's a plug in. Also change your filter. If it's not a plug in vacuum, for gods sake don't use a cordless vacuum on carpet unless you have like under 600 sq ft. Even then, battery powered vacuums can never be as strong and good at vacuuming carpet as the cheapest plug in. If you are serious about allergy then get a bagged canister, all bagless vacuums emit some dust back into the exhaust. Problem with bagged is the vacuum is expensive and the bags cost money $20 ish per year. Fills up quick if you have pets too.

The problem is that you're using the wrong tool for getting pet hairs out of carpet....use a corded upright vacuum (cheap) or bagged canister with electro brush (very expensive). Shark Navigator, Hoover WindTunnel, lots of good options between $100-150 especially if you have Costco/Sam's. Don't overpay for a Dyson on "sale." Cheaper than $100 is also not recommended. Most cordless vacuums don't even have a brush if you are using a handheld and even a lot of cheaper stick vacuums don't have electric powered brush, only air. If you are vacuuming carpet, you NEED an electric powered brush head.

For everyone else who thinks you need a Dyson: first make sure you're using a plug in vacuum, second change your vacuum filters. Changing filters should be under $20 and make your vacuum run like it was new. It is never enough to just empty the dust cup in a bagless vacuum, filters need to be changed every 1-2 years with a new filter even if they say washable. It's not that Dyson makes bad vacuums, but it is probably overkill for what you need and you will pay extra for it.

So pro version comes with both direct drive and fluffy heads? What's a good tool for dog with long hair.

Is there a good one in the market that has a wet or mopping feature?

which tools did the BB one come with?
drive head, fluffy, combo, crevice?

So for $80 more the pro fluffy animal adds mini motorized tool, soft brush, stiff brush, and angle brush?

If you get V6 fluffy animal you TWO heads (direct drive and soft cleaner head which they sell for $150 on their site ) and then 6 tools in the box PLUS 3 more for auto register PLUS 1 a fourth tool free. My chat guy let me get a duplicate mini motorized tool cuz you literally get every tool dyson sells for v6 and still have a option left.
Killer deal. I bought just for fluffy head and extra tools and will flip what I already have.

The one I bought from BB during labor day includes all the tools, like hard head, fluffy head, soft brush, stiff brush and angle brush.

I'm normally a shark owner but I have been checking out these wand types that you can use on furniture. The allergy version tools are of interest, but I also have pets so I'm checking out the animal pro...if the cordless has decent power for a good long life.
Any thoughts to help a dyson virgin out?
If I do pick up the animal pro, what extra tools are good to go with it?
