How's this compared to the RC-62 II?

RC62-ii is way more powerful than this I guess as it has 6.5 inch woofers and is rated at 600 watts

I took the plunge on this because of space issues in my tv stand. I know there are (much) better center channel speakers out there, but my stand only has about 20" space for the cc speaker. Seems like a good option considering that restriction. Now to hope Fry's reposts their RF-82ii deal with shipping sometime soon!

RC62 is also almost same size I guess ... if you are waiting for frys deal on fronts ... you can wait for rc62 deal as well ....

Edit ::: rc62 is 23 inches and this one is 18.5 inches

Yeah, almost every center channel deal I've seen on SD has been slightly too big. It's such a pain to replace the entertainment stand, though, and I like everything else about it other than the small cc compartment.

I'm hoping the timbre of this cc matches the RF82iis...

I know the R-25C is different but I just replaced the R-25c with a RC62ii and it is a world of difference. The 25C was still really nice though.

Another thing to note, these are the reference premiere speakers which sounds like a new line and has different features than the RC line. I still prefer 6.5" over 5" though.

This would not be good match for your towers it will get killed by those towers ... wait for something more powerful like RC 62ii or bigger
